You will need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • ½ cup finely shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 tablespoons cream (or milk)

Combine the dry ingredients.
Cut in the butter and cheese with a pastry blender.
Stir in the cream.
Shape into a large ball and chill for two hours.
On lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into 1/8 thickness.
Cut the dough into ¼ inch strips.
Bake at 425 degrees on greased cookie sheet for 8 minutes.


  • Using the recipe above, break off 1” balls of dough and roll them between your palms to make 5-6 inch rope shapes.
  • Now flatten one end of each shape and add a sliced almond.
  • Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
  • The dough shapes should now resemble fingers with a large nails at the end.
  • These make a great spooky snack.

You will need:

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • ½ cup thinly shredded cheese
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Mix biscuit mix, milk and cheese, until a soft dough forms.
Beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
Drop dough by spoonful’s onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
